Image first, then motion
Text-to-video from nothing is a lottery. You describe a scene and find out afterwards whether the model understood any of it — the wrong body, the wrong outfit, the wrong framing, and the credits are gone.
Starting from an image you already like removes all of that. The character, the outfit and the composition are settled before a single frame renders. So the flow is deliberate: generate until you have a picture worth animating, then animate that one.
What a clip looks like
Five or ten seconds, interpolated to a smooth frame rate rather than left at the model's native stutter. The camera holds still and the subject moves, which is what makes a clip readable instead of seasick.
Motion comes from the prompt and, more than people expect, from how the source image is framed. A tight close-up gives small movements; a full-body shot leaves room for something bigger. If a clip feels static, the answer is almost always a different source image rather than a different setting.
